Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Set

Eight Hour Cream Set - available here

When the cold weather comes, the dry chapped skin shortly follows. The kind of dry skin that requires something more than your run of the mill face cream, times like these we need to bring out the big guns.

Eight Hour Cream was created more than eighty years ago, in 1930, by Miss Arden herself and was the first ever cosmetic product to bear the Elizabeth Arden name. Eight Hour Cream has since escalated to cult status, and become a staple in a woman's handbag and make up artists alike.

I picked up this set in Debenhams for £22 when it was on offer, included in the set is a full size Eight Hour Cream, a full sized Eight Hour Lip Balm and a sample of the Eight Hour Cream Intensive Moisturiser.

This multi-use balm, has a super thick consistency that melts to almost an oil with the warmth of the skin. Used to soothe dry patches, its instantly smooths and relives the skin leaving a protective layer to help seal the skin and prevent it getting any drier. This month I have been using it to soothe my chapped lips and dry nose, and its been a total miracle. The cold and snowy weather has left my hands in a less than perfect condition, and the Eight Hour Cream has seriously improved my skin condition in just a matter of days. I use it at night as an intensive treatment, and its guaranteed to leave my hands and nails looking healthy and soft by the morning.

The lip balm is the perfect handbag size, which is great for on the go touch ups and beauty emergencies. The lip balm can be used to heal dry cuticles and keep brows in shape when you're out and about.

The set is available here  priced at £31.99
